          Chattanooga Neighborhood Enterprise (CNE) is proud to announce the appointment of four new members to its Board of Directors: Adam Kinsey, Raquetta Dotley, Claudia Pullen, and Kim Printz. These new additions bring a diverse range of experience and expertise, including two prominent real estate developers, a Chattanooga City Councilwoman, and a CNE resident and community advocate, strengthening the organization's mission to expand housing opportunities and create thriving neighborhoods.
         &#xD;

          About the New Board Members
         &#xD;
    &lt;/strong&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;strong&gt;&#xD;
      
          Adam Kinsey
         &#xD;
    &lt;/strong&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
          brings over two decades of real estate development experience with a strong focus on urban revitalization. As a leader of the Chattanooga Choo Choo project, he successfully transformed the historic site into a vibrant entertainment district with a significant residential component. He is now focused on urban infill projects in South Chattanooga, with a specific mission to introduce diverse housing options for all income levels. Kinsey also serves on the boards of the Chattanooga Housing Authority and the Downtown Chattanooga Alliance.
         &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
          Raquetta Dotley
         &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
           is a Chattanooga native, City Councilwoman for District 7, and former City Council Chair. A tireless advocate for inclusive growth and neighborhood revitalization, she has championed major initiatives like the expansion of STEAM Logistics and the development of the new South Broad Stadium, both of which will create jobs and stimulate the local economy. Her work in the Westside on the One Westside plan will revitalize 300 acres, bringing new homes and commercial spaces to the area. Dotley is also the Executive Director of the Net Resource Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to asset-based community development.

      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;

          Claudia Pullen
         &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;

      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
           is a real estate professional who has been a passionate advocate for thoughtful and sustainable growth since relocating to Chattanooga in 2006. With a deep love for the city, she is dedicated to helping Chattanooga expand in a way that honors its rich history while embracing smart progress. Her commitment to excellence and community development will be a valuable asset to the board.
          &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;

          Kim Printz
         &#xD;

           is a Chattanooga native and a current CNE tenant in the Highland Park neighborhood. A former special education teacher and nonprofit professional, she is now a full-time artist and art instructor at The Hart Gallery. Her direct experience as a resident of a CNE property provides a critical perspective on the organization’s work and its impact on the community.
          &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;

  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;

          In celebration of national NeighborWorks Week 2025, Chattanooga Neighborhood Enterprise (CNE) partnered with YM360 to significantly impact the Oak Grove and Ridgedale neighborhoods, putting on a powerful display of community spirit. The collaborative effort saw over 105 dedicated volunteers unite to rehabilitate 10 homes, strengthening the fabric of the Chattanooga community.
         &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
          Throughout the week, volunteers from CNE and YM360 worked side by side on a variety of tangible home improvements. From porch painting and pressure washing to planting and general clean-up, their collective efforts brought immediate and visible enhancements to the properties. Beyond the physical transformations, the initiative fostered deeper connections, ignited a renewed sense of pride, and enhanced ownership among neighbors, reinforcing that this work extended far beyond beautifying properties; it was about building lasting community strength.
         &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
          "We are incredibly thankful to every single person who showed up, worked hard, and brought joy into these homes," said Gracie Morales, CNE’s Healthy Neighborhoods Manager. "Your positive energy and hard work reminded us that when we come together, we don’t just fix things – we build something lasting."

          CNE’s participation in NeighborWorks Week highlights its commitment to the national NeighborWorks America movement, which mobilizes thousands of residents, businesses, and community leaders across the country to create opportunities for people to live in affordable homes, build financial stability, and strengthen communities. The 2025 theme, "Creating Homes, Building America," perfectly aligns with the mission of CNE and its partners.

Through their Library Tool Checkout Service, CNE and YM360 volunteers were able to access a wide range of essential tools, from painting supplies to gardening equipment, which were crucial in enabling the successful completion of the projects. This resource played a vital role in bringing the neighborhoods together and executing the work with excellence.

          Part One: The Youth Gingerbread Building Challenge
         &#xD;
    &lt;/strong&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
          CNE is putting out the call to all young master builders. This is the perfect chance for kids to put their crafting skills to work competing for some serious cash prizes.
         &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
          For a minimum fee of $10, youth participants will receive a full gingerbread house kit and one hour to bring their creative vision to life. All completed houses will be displayed publicly for a popular vote.
         &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;strong&gt;&#xD;
      
          Three winners will be selected:

  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;

           Age 7-12 Winner: $200 Cash Prize
          &#xD;

           Age 13 &amp;amp; Up Winner: $200 Cash Prize

          The youth build will take place from 12 to 2 PM with the popular vote following. Winner will be announced just before 3 PM. Families are encouraged to arrive at noon to secure a kit for building.

  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;

          Part Two: The Pro Gingerbread Exhibition
         &#xD;
    &lt;/strong&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
          The event will also feature an exhibition of spectacular, pre-built gingerbread models created by professional designers, architects, builders and enthusiasts. These jumbo 2'x2' confectionary masterpieces will be on display throughout the event, showcasing the highest level of detail and design in edible art.
         &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
          A special panel of judges will evaluate the entries and award a "Best in Show" prize to the most outstanding model. The Pro winner will be announced just before 3 PM. All professional entries for exhibit must be complete by Friday, December 5th.

          Through our research we found the majority of people experiencing homelessness are singles living alone with minimal support needs. While there will always be people that do not fit this description, a housing strategy that focuses on the majority can free up more resources for the minority with the highest amount of support needed.
         &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
          This document provides a series of prototypes that can flexibly adapt to local condition and needs in Chattanooga. No matter the type, all of our PSH housing aims to meet the following criteria: small, proximate, private, and dignified.

          In 2022, residents in the Oak Grove area of East Chattanooga partnered with CNE to conduct food access research. CNE presented a food mapping project to comprehensively identify current food availability and significant gaps in food security within the Chattanooga community. These detailed maps were presented to local organizations and communities working to improve the local food system.

           On April 12,2024, Illuminate Oak Grove brought neighbors together with flashlights, safety vests, and a mission: identify where lighting was missing across the community.

  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;

  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
           Residents teamed up with CPD officers and CNE staff to walk streets, alleys, and corners, noting areas in need of better illumination.

    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;

    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;

      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
           Volunteers worked side by side to replace rotted wood, stabilize structures, and add fresh finishes that restored both safety and curb appeal.

  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;

          To add density to the neighborhood, CNE constructed two sixplex prototypes along with single family homes on Union Avenue in Ridgedale. The sixplex courtyard, which consists of five buildings in a serpentine layout accounted for 30 new units. Across the street, two standalone sixplexes were constructed bringing the total number units to 42.

          Chattanooga Neighborhood Enterprise announces the appointment of Christopher Thompson as its new chief executive officer. After a nationwide search, which attracted over 300 candidates, Mr. Thompson will step into the role on March 3. Current President and CEO, Martina Guilfoil, is set to retire at the end of February, but will remain active in the transition period.
         &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
          Mr. Thompson brings experience in community and economic development to CNE. He currently serves as the chief executive officer of the West Central Missouri Community Action Agency and the West Central Community Development Corporation (d/b/a New Growth), both headquartered in Appleton City, Mo.
         &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
          West Central is one of 19 community action agencies in Missouri, serving nine primary counties in the West Central region, including Cass County in the KC Metro. West Central administers a wide range of programs, including housing assistance, food security, multi-family housing, home weatherization, energy and emergency assistance and workforce solutions. New Growth, a West Central initiative, focuses on community economic development throughout the West Central region and beyond. This includes administering New Growth Transit, a rural transit network; the Start Here business acceleration network; the Missouri Rural Development Partnership; the New Growth Women’s Business Center; the 5-State Heartland Region Food Business Center; and New Growth Capital, a micro-lending program and credit-building program.
         &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
          Prior to his leadership at West Central/New Growth, Mr. Thompson practiced as a commercial real estate attorney for over 15 years. He also gained experience in the field of rural community economic development through a national poverty initiative and worked in the Atlanta area with partners like Emory University on various community entrepreneurship and community development efforts.
         &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
          “The CNE Board of Directors is delighted to welcome Chris Thompson as our new chief executive officer,” said Andrea Hardaway, CNE’s Board chair. “His extensive experience in community and economic development, coupled with his proven track record of success in leading complex organizations, makes him an excellent fit to lead CNE into the future.           Mr. Thompson holds a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Law, a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Dispute Resolution from the same institution, and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (human resources) from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
         &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
