Our community engagement work is focused on planning and implementing events that meet the needs of our local neighborhoods. We offer three types of community engagement events that we can partner with you to make happen:
Know Your Neighbor
This is our signature community event, and we work with a local business and area partners to plan an event that is family friendly and fun.
Past partners have included San Marcos, Ms. K’s Soulfood and Jamaican Cuisine Express, Mouth Gremlin, Chattanooga Wing Factory, Supermercardo El Sol, Sequatchie Farm, Amani, Anni Hanks Ceramics, GreenSpaces, and La Paz
We will work with you to plan an intimate dinner on your neighborhood block to get to know your neighbors. This is a great outreach tool to help build relationships with those right around your home.
We will work with you to identify areas in your neighborhood for clean-up work, an art project, or a design need. Our hope is to support neighborhood level efforts for revitalization.
Our community organizing work is driven by a commitment to developing and supporting diverse resident leaders that actively engage in the issues impacting their neighborhoods. If you are interested in building your knowledge of housing and neighborhood policy, developing your leadership and advocacy skills or undertaking a project that benefits your neighborhood, please contact our organizer, Andrea Glass.
